A video camera lowered into mine where six miners have been buried shows
"survivable space," a U.S. official said, but attempts to signal the
miners were met by silence. The void showed an intact ceiling over more

schoolyard wall and gunned down at close range. All were slain. The
fourth friend was found nearby with gunshot and stab wounds. She was
listed in fair condition.
