TOP U.S. GENERAL FEARS CIVIL WAR IN IRAQ IS COMING

The top U.S. commander in the Middle East told Congress the sectarian
violence in Iraq is as bad as he has seen it and warned Iraq "could move
toward civil war." The Joint Chiefs chair added it will depend on the
Iraqis more than the U.S. military.
