The battle for the La Liga title between Spanish giants
Barcelona and Real Madrid will go down to the last day of the
season, after wins from both teams on Saturday insured the
Catalan's slender one-point lead over their rivals at the top of

A ferry boat crashed into the Staten Island Ferry terminal
Saturday morning, leaving at least 60 people injured,
authorities said.

A powerful storm has killed at least 54 people in northern and
eastern India, authorities said Saturday.

> GERMAN BISHOP QUITS OVER ALLEGATIONS
The pope has accepted the resignation of a German bishop who had

children in his care and misusing money donated to an orphanage.

European Union leaders on Saturday called for a "stabilization
mechanism" in hopes of easing markets shaken by the Greek

because of ash blowing from an Icelandic volcano, aviation
officials said.
